To the People

The solution should be obvious. Just ban death. Problem solved.

Idiots.

In DC, they used the prospect of poor immigrant restaurant workers being sent home in body bags to justify the ban. At least Baltimore is nice enough to provide the more uppity "coffin" imagery. I would have thought "pine box".

I'd rather have some ridiculous "No Smoking Zoning Overlay District" where people who don't want to smoke can go out and not smoke. Also, people could work in the no smoking zone.

Other people could do what the market dictates.

Second-hand smoke is annoying, but does it really take years off of your life to spend a couple of hours in a bar with smoke?

I have never seen the "data" to support that. Of course bar workers get much more exposure but many jobs have hazards. Let the market decide, or should we ban coal mining, construction work and policing?
