If Republicans were politically wise they would suspend the federal gasoline tax until at least the 2006 elections.

Also, any good articles or reports on the China and India angle? It makes sense and has me intrigued. Would love to read more about it (even though reading is for chumps).

Also, I should have mentioned that most of the taxes are levied at a FLAT rate. So as the price of crude rises, the percentage of cost that can be attributed to taxes actually declines.
