To the People

I thought the same thing: not again! I am friends with that reporter and hope to get some explanation for this as Jamie is not the sensational type. I think part of the answer is that the Post is obsessed with covering all of the metro area, newsworthy or not, to cover its readership. Plus, those pretty white girls do tend to have pretty aggressive and media-savvy parents.

I've thought of starting a non-profit PR company to do media for people who wouldn't otherwise get media attention. It's true that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I don't blame the Post. They did put the story in the metro section as Leonardo points out. It's CNN and other national media that I wonder about. The only time I ever hear about "amber alert" is when a white girl goes missing. Maybe it's my imagination.
