To the People

I'll second that. That motherfucker Bill O'Really? tried to pull the same shit. In one of his "Squawking Points" rants, he asserted that there was one guy who sets the gas "price" (as if there is only one price for gas) in the US. He then went on to instruct his viewers to do such idiotic things as "don't buy gas on Sundays!" (which just means that more people buy gas on the other 6 days). In the end, he seemingly sought to punish the eeeevil petro companies by encouraging his viewers to turn down their thermostats this winter.

These vile, egotistical fools think that their prodding will really make a difference, as opposed to natural pricing mechanisms. Fools. I too will use as much gas as I want, or can afford.

Speaking of which, my City (Charlottesville, VA) just paid for me to upgrade from an analog to a new $80 digital thermostat. That should save me on gas this winter, now that I can control the schedule. But I'll not be uncomfortable and/or wear sweaters around the house for any other reasons than my own. O'Reilly and Bush can fuck off. For all the money the gubmint steals from us every time I fill up my tank, they can just. fuck. off. I'll cut back on my gas consumption when they start cutting back on their theft of my money. Deal?

I've never understood why we should drive less. What difference does it make if we can consume lots of oil. It's there, why not use it? Sure, we could theoretically (although not likely) run completely out one day, but so what?

The O'Reilly segment (I've only read a partial transcript) was amazing. O god he's dumber than a stick. covered. by. rabid. fox. shit. Says a lot for the KSG MPP.

St. Louis sux, BTW.

At the very least we'll win the NFC West...

That's all you got? The NFC West is the redheaded stepchild of a redheaded stepchild.
