To the People

I think religious groups try to indoctrinate others under the guise of "helping" and "providing services". This is how they think they are justified to get "reimbursed", I imagine.

Re: the issue of the separation of church and state...don't get me started on this. There seems to be a blatant disregard of this basic premise by the Bush administration....that is why I HATE this office so much http://www.whitehouse.gov/govern...overnment/fbci/

The wall between church and state is at LEAST as beneficial to religion as it is to secular government.

I make it a practice to immediately cease donating to any charitable organization that receives financial support from the government. Association with government is fundamentally demeaning, and government bureaucrats going into religious charities has the whiff of an administration that's forgotten the true meaning of "one nation _under_ God".

When money flows, control always flows in the opposite direction. The inevitable end result of government financially supporting churches is not, as many fear, a state ruled by priests, but rather a government which presumes to dictate to God.
