To the People

If every person was aborted, there'd be no crime at all.

How about a moratorium on childbirth absent proof of financial responsibility? If you need an operator's license and insurance to drive a car, why not increased pre-procreation requirements?

How did the right to procreate become fundamental, other than the fact that the vast majority of people do it -- whether as a matter of socialization or fealty to some pseudo-divine invocation to multiply?

There must be some way to calibrate individual choice with extravagant social commitments to assist in the rearing of children.

How about a moratorium on supposed Libertarians advocating _more_ government restriction on private choices?

I hate kids, but I'm with Matt!

If having a child WAS an explicity PRIVATE choice, I wouldn't have even raised the issue... or any matter regarding procreation. But when the government pursues the direct and indirect subsidization of procreation, there is really no other choice for a libertarian who seeks to limit state power is there?
