In the media-hyped-food-items-with-enormous-alleged-
health-benefits category, turmeric is set to become the new garlic, and for good reason. They say it helps with functions of the liver, kidneys, digestion, heart, and lungs, and it fights allergies, the gout, cancer, etc. I would add to the list that it's great for preventing and curing hangovers. Take a teaspoon daily mixed with kefir, blueberries, and ground flaxseeds, and possibly some granola if you're that kind of person. |
