To the People

I'm not even sure he should be charged. But - definitely fired, at least.

At the post office, if a mail carrier gets in an auto accident, he's fired, regardless of whether he is at fault or not.

I would think something similar should apply to a cop. If he accidently kills someone, he's gone. Let it serve as an example to the next officer.

Liberals are too busy bashing Walmart, and Repubs are too busy bashing liberals.

The isolated incident argument is all they resort to. Even with the mountain of evidence, they don't see the state as the biggest threat to liberty.

I've tried...

Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney Robert Moran announced yesterday he was not filing criminal charges against the police officer that shot and killed Dr. Sal Culosi, rather he was willing to lend more excuses why it happened. Horan first throws out for public consumption, "If someone fires a gun and unintentionally kills someone without malice, they do not commit a crime." Hmm….. let's see maybe the public won't buy that one so then he offers, "he was bringing his weapon up. In the course of bringing his weapon up, it discharged", at this point he probably started thinking about the record 29 county murders last year and future defense attorneys taking hold of such a statement to be applied equitably to their clients. If it was good enough for the Commonwealth Attorney to use then why not apply it to any firearm discharge that results in murder in Fairfax county! I guess the ultimate demonstration of injustice and arrogance came from his final excuse for the officer saying, "maybe he was tired, he (the officer) had been up since 5am” supervising managed county deer hunting (I bet none of those hunters accidentally discharged their weapons, too bad he didn’t supervise it close enough to remind him of safe gun handling procedures). Folks, not only is this one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in Fairfax history, but it is another fine example of the level of incompetence and negligence of duty by a Commonwealth Attorney who, by the way, is the chief law enforcement officer for the county. I find his acts almost as criminal as officer Deval Bullock who killed Dr. Culosi.
Mr. Horan, I ask you this, if someone leaves a bar after a few drinks and a long day of work and gets in his car (obviously without any malice) and on the way home kills someone, are we to expect that you have no intention of prosecuting them? At least their judgment may have been impaired by alcohol, Mr. Horan's judgment seems to be impaired by the TRUTH, the truth that one of HIS officers killed an innocent person and should be held accountable! Negligent Homicide and no more excuses Horan!!!!
