To the People

I think the thing that immigrants have proved most is that Americans are lazy and would rather be unemployed and on welfare complaining than work for $10 an hour mowing lawns.

I worked at Burger King doing bitch work for about 14 months, and I can tell you the immigrants worked their asses off while the white bitches sat around and moaned their lazy asses off.

We wouldn't have gotten shit done if it wasn't for those wonderful people. Not that all immigrants are that way, but the vast majority of those I've seen are actually willing to work.

Work, what's work? Says America.

"They have proven something none of us have -- that they would choose this country over their birthplace, and would risk life and limb to get here, and would continue to do so by starting at the very bottom, toiling long hours for little money in jobs so difficult we cannot even imagine."

baylen, i couldn't have said it any better...and bourdain, as usual, seems to get right too.

Spent 6 years part time in a bakery and then a restaurant in high school and collitch, and who was there at 4 am and 10 am respectively, putting in 10-14 hours shifts? Not Whitey. Not Whitey indeed.

73%+ of legal Americans favor border security and no amnesty per Zogby. Your represenatatives are ignoring their constituents. Bourdain will just have to learn to train legal citizens.

What utter baloney...No nation has been able to survive under uncontrolled immigration and the forces of migrants intent on plundering the social services built up by the blood, sweat and tears of countless generations. Have you ever heard of how Rome fell?

What you are advocating (Bourdain as well) is not Libertarianism, but Anarchy. Further, many of the illegals come here are not Libertarian, but Marxists. Check out the May day march where thousands flew Mexican flags and pro-communist banners.

People like Bourdain are comfortably wealthy, and as such, have no problem serving up the scraps from his table at sub-minimum wage, all the while his former workplace is now packed with cooks who are non-citizens. Where have the former "chefs" gone? Likely to the unemployment line.

I happen to enjoy Bourdain's wit generally, but on this issue he infuriates me. If he enjoys the 3rd world so much, then why not move there rather than speak of converting the USA to his own version...
