Eliot Spitzer is a prime example of a horrible public servant. What he did by shaking down Wall Street was to basically make it impossible for firms to do research on small public companies, ergo small companies can no longer go public. Spitzer and Sarbanes Oxley have destroyed one thousand times the equity value that Enron did. The US equity market is now so onerous that my clients are all seeking to go public on the London Stock Exchange versus the Big Board or the NASDAQ. Way to go, government! |

i don't think spitzer has a prick. and that's the problem. loads of transference issues in that boy. |

If New York elects this man governor, there should be a serious discussion about expelling that state from the union. Spitzer is a far greater repudiation of republican government than the Confederacy ever was. |

i think ny and sf can become their own bicoastal state: stupidia |

If it were to happen, I'd just say this- "Don't judge us by our leader.." |

I can't stand Spitzer, guardian terrorist to the business world. Spitzer's only intention is furthering his political career rather than acting as a servant of the people. As long as his name continues to make it into the press, he doesn't seem to care what he's done to get his name there and that is dangerous. He's a classic case of the "sue first, ask questions later" mentality and he bullies businesses with threat of legal recourse. He uses the courts to create disputes rather than resolve them.... he's rubbish |
