I know some Andersen people who lost not only their jobs but everything that they had. The partners invested their profits in the company and lost all of that. For what? |

Funny how government officials are *never* responsible for shareholder losses caused by deliberate government intervention. |

I had an interesting conversation with a State Attorney General recently. The man had spent years in private practice and the most difficult job he faced was in convincing his staff attorneys that making money, in and of itself, is NOT a crime. Apparently, they would constantly come to him with some idea for an investigation because "These guys made a TON of money! They have to be doing something wrong!" I propose term limits for civil servants to force them to live in the real world. Who's with me? |
