jackson- i just want to let you know how much i've enjoyed your debate recaps. as a former fairfield county resident, i can really appreciate your imagery of the people and the politics.
i will say that chris shays used to be my second favorite House republican (next to jim greenwood from PA). also, i think that CT voters are still dumb enough to vote for third party candidates, no matter what it will mean for the final outcomes. they have learned absolutely nothing since the gary franks fiasco.

Jackson, it's so fun reading your articles - it's like reliving the fun parts of the event.
And I wonder sometimes - why don't other people get it? Talks mean money. Of course, talks mean money! But I guess to the Demopublicans, talks might have some ethereal meaning.
I really like your point that Libertarianism is innately hilarious. I've never thought about that. And hilarious for that reason - that you're surrounded by sour potatoes, and you've gotta cope. Sweet. Yeah, Maymin definitely knows that.
At yesterday's debate, I loved how Farrell "complimented" Phil... that Phil had said everything she could have thought to say. That's so thoughtful of her to admit that, so kind. Funny that that's a little different from what she told the reporter four-five days ago in the 10-13-06
">Stamford Advocate article: "Farrell, who did not initially respond to Shays' comments Wednesday because she was "thinking and formulating my own answer to the question," said yesterday that there was torture at Abu Ghraib."
Lovely.

Thank you Jenny and Was-There, and everybody who has said kind things on other posts! I appreciate it. I intend to follow the race through til the end, and I may even live-blog on election night if I can find a wifi signal.
Who knows? Let's hope for a dirty recount battle!
