Mary Lefkowitz rocks. She was my Classics professor at Wellesley and had to endure all sorts of silly protests.

Lefkowitz was my Classics professor as well and I have "Not Out of Africa" on my shelf. Excellent book! Interesting analogy, Leonardo. I think we do make a mistake when we fail to engage the fundamentalist Christians because we assume that they're just a bunch of backwards rednecks who aren't worth our time. Clearly that is no longer the case.

You'd think Christian fundamentalists could at least read the beginning of the Bible, like the part in Genesis where God gives man free will. I do, which is why I'm an anarcho-capitalist. Who are they to think they know better than God???
