I would think that MADD has accomplished its goals: significantly raising consciousness about DWI (remember the 70s?) and getting tough enforcement policies enacted.

So now they should just go away and leave us alone, as the only things left for them to do are harass ordinary citizens. But those groups don't go away. I don't expect SmokeFree DC to go away anytime soon and can only imagine what is next on their agenda.
