i kind of miss the idea of pay phones in terms of the old-style booths...but i always hated using them as i always imagined them being filthy with germs.

In some ways we can credit the rise of the cell phone to drug war enforcement tactics. In the urban jungles I have lived in in the past pay phones were yanked as they were viewed as being used by drug dealers. Never mind that many people in the ghetto are too poor to have cell phones or even land lines sometimes and rely on the pay phone.
