To the People

depending on who is funding this project, seems ok to me.

i still love the story i heard from one woman who was often hit and ridiculed by her husband that after a bit of time, she started to get her revenge by using the leftover water from washing his dirty underwear to cook his rice and pasta for dinner. two of her chores done at once...washing his fucking laundry and cooking his shitty dinner.

Yeah, once again my outrage-o-meter doesn't detectably register. Cajoling is a fairly unobtrusive activity, especially when it's educational/raising awareness. If we diverted ONDCP funding into billboards saying "don't be a jackass," I'd consider it a step up.

Cajoling...Who is being cajoled in this case? Abusers? People who think domestic abuse is OK? Or are they trying to redfine what abuse actually is? None of those make sense, and the last one is certainly not the role of a state. I admit that I might be out of touch, and missing something in this case with domestic violence, but otherwise I think these type of PR campaigns are silly and rudderless.

If you could call it outrage...that's where mine comes from.
