Aside from the question of whether or not solicitation of sex between consenting adults should even be a crime, can one hold personal beliefs or practices that are contrary to the one's interpretation of the law or Constitution? Would I be a hypocrite if I was personally opposed to abortion, yet support one's right to make that choice?

Or elected representative? Is Craig a hypocrite because of his position on gay marriage, yet may be gay himself? Although I don't support his position, perhaps he is placing the values of his constiuency above his personal beliefs, which is what an elected representative is supposed to do, no? or is that just pandering?
