They do they same thing in the Chicago market. Depending on the channel I see Sonic spots more often than any of the big burger joints. My guess is that there are enough franchises out in the distant burbs (2-3 hours away) that advertising is worth it, especially since Chicago dominates the TV market for between 2 and 4 hours in any given direction. |

We get Sonic commercials all the time in CT, and there isn't one for at least 150 miles. Some of their stuff looks pretty good, and I can never try it. Why do they mock us? |
|
Yeah, we get the same shit on Long Island. We looked up the nearest Sonics and it's in Pennsylvania. A friend of mine was actually intent on making the trip, he got hooked on it in New Mexico. |

Wow, sonic is really good at name recognition. But that is about all. I have the same situation here in MI. Not a sonic anywhere nearby, but we get the commercials all the time. |

Ugh. Trust me, don't try anything at Sonic. Especially the desserts they push. Fried-to-a-crisp saltburgers and nasty watery frozen crap with candy bars thrown in, all for 4 times what you would pay to do it yourself at 7-11. |
