You have scholars coming up with ideas like symbolic breastfeeding, only because they need a way around segregation of the sexes.

Lawyers and legislators do the exact same convoluted shit in this country. And our judges pretty much wear the same robes. Instead of finding whacked-out loopholes for segregation of the sexes, we do it for shit that's just as stupid - like the war on drugs, gasoline formulations, etc. So US support for these shithole regimes makes perfect sense.

Re: the prior comment, the war on drugs, gas formulations, etc are examples of excessive US control of markets and citizens, but that is many orders of magnitude less than the oppression imposed in the Islamic world.
