Dogs are definitely a problem. I moved to a very quiet street as I love peace and quiet. But I didn't realize that I would have a new alarm clock: the neighbor's barking dog. Every night at 10:45 the dog would bark for about 15 minutes, waking me up long enough to really wake me up. So I started going to bed later.

But the dog would start again at 6:30 (do these people get no sleep?). My letter to them was effective and reduced the insanely long barking episodes but there are still another 10 or so dogs within earshot so there is a constant noise issue. I, btw, have a dog.
