To the People

Now, come on. Being able to trust your surgeon when you're under general anaesthesia is pretty important. And then add in the added power differential when your surgeon is also your boss. Certainly it was very unprofessional of him, and he should probably face at least a review by whatever the appropriate professional organization is.

It was just a joke. Should victims of whoopie cushions get $250,000? She was treating the legal system like a slot machine. Just making up excuses to get paid.

I don't know about the $250K, but the guy should have gotten his ass kicked at the very least.

Does nobody have a sense of humor? I bet the pictures were hilarious.

Are there any medical risks associated with the extended general anesthesia? Beyond what bBass said, I'd be curious as to whether the time to perform the joke and take the pictures resulted in any increased risk to the patient.

If your buddy gets wasted and passes out on the couch and you want to get pictures smacking his face with your balls, knock yourself out. If you can't see the difference between that kind of a joke and this one, I would adopt a general rule of not pulling office pranks, it's likely that you'll eventually do one where "nobody gets it", and "where's your sense of humor?"
