To the People

Some clever entrepreneur-to-be is sitting on a gold mine here. I'm thinking something like

The religious right and the "bad for society" left would shit themselves, though...

Fair Tax is the way to go, but no self-respecting congressman would ever go for it - if they did, they couldn't pick and choose who pays what.

Me thinks you are fudging the numbers, you are comparing your benefit at age 62, which is half of what you would get if you waited til full retirement age. Your full retirement benefit would be $1716/month, isn't that correct? Nevertheless, a fairer system would allow you to designate your death benefits, like an insurance policy. Or opt out of death benefits. WTF, opt out of the whole lousy system.

z I never "fudge numbers." Prove any "fudging" and I will take you out for a steak dinner. Otherwise, shut up.

Ok, post what your benefit would be if you retire at age 67, instead of going early out at 62. It should be right there on your statement, not too hard, even for the challenged.

Okay, z, I just checked my statement and my benefit at 67 would be a whopping $1,219 per month.

Are you suggesting that I am challenged? And what exactly does that mean? I would love to meet you in a dark alley.
