I read a similar case in Law School - note: I'm way too lazy to actually find it. Anyway, it was a case out of New York and NY law, unless it's changed, does require that Jewish Husbands issue the "Get."

It isn't really that new of an issue constitutionally. My take is quite libertarian. If you don't want to follow the Jewish religion, then don't. Otherwise, deal with its misogyny (or whatever). If a bunch of Jewish women leave the religion, I bet that Rabbis will change their tune - especially if the Jewish women are hot.
