The idea that you can somehow appease the terrorists and stop them from attacking you is ignorant. The fact is, if we didn't have military bases in Saudi Arabia (with Saudi government consent btw), then they say it's because we enforced no-fly zone in Iraq. If we stopped that, then they would say it's because of our support for Israel. Stop that, then it's because half of Europe belongs to them. Give them Europe, then it will be because we are infidels who don't believe in muhammed and allah. If we all switch to Islam, maybe it won't be the exact right sect. You can't win playing the capitulation game.

Well, what you call capitulation I call stop making enemies. There are very few young men in the world who would blow themselves up because women can drive in America. A lot would blow themselves up if they were told it wold make America more likely to leave the region, which is what the terrorists want. This isn't about the strange demands of a few crazy clerics. It's about their ability to find millions of new recruits. The fact is - and it's a fact, look it up - Osama bin Laden never would have been radicalized if it wasn't for America's first war on Iraq. It upset him for many reasons. The Saudi Arabian government didn't want him in their country criticizing them and us, so they kicked him out. He fled to Afghanistan and began plotting how to get the U.S. out of the middle east. There, he fell under the sway of radical clerics who radicalized him. Now he has a plan to get America out of the U.S., kill Americans until we leave. It's a pretty simple plan. But it worked against the Soviets in Afghanistan. Bin Laden and his pals would be five crazy guys living in a cave if it wasn't for the fact that the U.S. has killed tens of thousands of innocent muslims and continues to do so. As a result, these five crazy guys have an army that is growing every day.
