Great post, Rob. At 7am I called my female friend X, who has dated a couple of women on the Brazilian team and almost had her girl stolen by Abby Wambach.

Anyway, I called X after reading the Wa Post article that said that they were not starting Hope Solo and I screamed into the phone: that coach ought to work for the Redskins as he has the same hubris that it is coaching, and not team bondedness or performance, that makes them win.

Watching the game before this loss, Hope Solo was the star of the team. Switching her was like taking Tom Brady out of the AFC tournament match.
