I actually don't have a problem with this, as it comes from a private fund. Although becoming a member of the Church of Bloomberg doesn't sound like a lot of fun. They may allow fornication, but if I can't lube up with trans fat it ust it's that great.

I agree...as long as the money comes from private donations, that's fine. I draw the line at the liberal-socialist ideology that would translate this into an obligation (i.e. taxes to fund it).
