To the People

Frankly I'd more impressed by a psychopath who struggled with and ultimately was able to repress a propensity for extreme antisocial behavior than some milquetoast who never had a wayward desire in the first place. (Putting aside, for the moment, the question of whether the former is in fact a psychopath . . . )

It's a dangerous day when we focus on people's inherent capacity for evil and not the free will and rational capabilities that allow us to overcome a natural tendency toward a Hobbesian state of nature.

I don't count sheep when I go to sleep. Instead, I have fantasies of killing my ex bosses, though I would never do that. Do such horrible thoughts make me a criminal? Shit no, that is just fantasy.
