To the People

What, exactly, are you hoping that your mayor will do to affect the price of real estate in a high demand area?

State lottery for homes?

"Affordable housing" is not something that I love.

It sounds good in theory and I do love a diversity of residents. But the reality is that in the US income is highly correlated with education and the field that one chooses, both of which are chosen by the individual as a life course and not imposed by a caste system.

So if Joe finishes high school, goes onto college and takes on a lot of debt in doing so, should he subsidize the high school dropout? Methinks no. Even worse, should his neighborhood that he invested in be reduced in value by low-income housing developments? Big no.

No shit. I thought this was a libertarian blog. This post is halfway between DailyKos and a hypothetical Monica Lewinsky blog. Please tell me SanFran has rent control and you just mean you want that abolished.

On the other hand, I enjoy the dentist before and after the Novocaine. Something about the chair and the crappy music makes me want to drift away.

BTW, are you actually so cute? Or was he just being a sly, womanizing motherfucker?
