I'm sure we all hate this guy, and perhaps rightly so, but nothing is less convincing to me - with respect to whether someone is truly guilty - than a guilty plea in federal court.

I'll bet his choice was to not fight and take his two years, or to fight for his rights and potentially spend 25 years in prison. I refuse to judge anyone with a federal record until something is done about prosecutorial abuse.
