Heh. I remember in fourth or fifth grade my classmates were into snorting kool-aid (I shit you not). I remember this one kid, a mainstreamed special ed kid in a wheelchair, snorted up a whole bunch of cherry and then developed a runny nose. Christ it was terrible, everyone thought he had a bloody nose till one got to within a few feet and saw dry grains of kool-aid on the surface.

Oh you guys probably don't remember Pop Rocks. Even better, I remember bubble gum wrapped up to look like a cigarette and it puffed some sort of sugar to mimic smoking. We would puff on them as we opened fire hydrants in the summer to cool down. Oh yeah, the 70s were a fun time to be a kid.

pop rocks i certainly remember. candy cigarettes too. they were a huge hit at the community pool during the summer, and this was late '80s, maybe early '90s. my mother hated those things...
