I think you're absolutely right about SC. I got the same impression from spending only 3 months there (Charleston) about a year ago. Waspy is probably a good word, although I'm sure many would object. There are many upper class aristocratic families and "southern belle" types, but not necessary Bible thumpers.

What I think CNN forgets sometimes is that there really is some difference between Christian and evangelical Christian. Some just seem to wear the title of "Christian" like it's something they inherited, like tallness or brown eyes.

And many (most?) of those types are not drawn to Huckabee.
