Depressing is the right word. I remember when Washington State passed theirs, I saw ashtrays stacked 2 feet high behind the bar, and I almost couldn't contain myself.

Of course you're still welcome to smoke to your heart's content at the politically connected Indian casinos. Don't get caught gambling online, though... that's right up there with molestation.

It's sad that you can travel to the People's Republic of China and be free to do things that can get you jailed in Maryland (if you resist the fine). But there truly is a public health issue in the way Martin O'Malley and his legislature vomit their tyranical bile on the citizenry.
