The worst is that the RIAA thinks they're giving you a great deal for charging you for a single song what they might reasonably charge for an album.

Songs are only worth something like 50 cents. 50 cents times 381 is only $190.50. That's ridiculous.

Also, getting to your point on IP law, one thing I don't understand is why they don't factor in depreciation. A spice girls tune is probably only worth about 5 cents, some of the '80s ballads are worth even less. If stores discount the cd's to move them out, then that shows there is a such thing as depreciation in the IP market.
