To the People |

i caught it on cnn's xm radio channel, so i couldn't see him. but the audio was cringe worthy. |

What makes this worse is that apparently most of the old-time libertarians know who wrote the articles, and have now named at least one of them publicly. For Paul to claim he didn't know who wrote the articles is just despicable, even if he is just doing it out of loyalty to the person. For that person (and the other as-yet unnamed 2 or 3 people) to continue to refuse to take public responsibility for the newsletters is even more despicable- not only are they bringing shame to the libertarian movement, but they are also being cowardly by having Paul take the fall for them. |

If he doesn't want to name names he should just say so. That would be honest. And respectable. |

Ok fine, I'll be the only one who stands up for Ron Paul here. This is total bullshit that for months his supporters have wanted attention focused on his policies and the good he'd accomplish if elected. And THIS shit is now going to ruin all that he really stands for. People are so quick to believe the negative bullshit that they don't even want to calm their heads for a second to see if there's any truth to the claim being made. Anyone believing this shit that CNN or whoever else is putting out are mindless dumbshits, which CNN counts on by the way. So what if he said "black" or "the blacks", it hardly makes him a racist just because he didn't say "African American". Maybe he's not politically correct, hardly makes him racist or a non-viable Presidential candidate. If he was the "racist" that people claim he is, why is it he's the ONLY candidate who speaks out against the war on drugs?? He's the ONLY one who would put an END to it!!! Seems to me like that would help out alot of minorities since they are the ones mostly (and unfairly) affected by it. He voted against Rosa Parks getting a congressional medal of honor NOT because she's black, but because there is no constitutional authority to use tax money to reward the good deeds of a citizen. INSTEAD he offered to pay for the medal out of his own congressional pay and asked his peers to do like-wise. Of course, that didn't happen, because the rest of them are too eager to spend our money on whatever they like. |
|
I think a Ron Paul/Mike Vick ticket would really heal the wounds. Can't a man be a racist? Nanny State! |
|
Sure, make a pathetic attempt at a joke. that's what this country's so-called "political process" is anyway. A fucking joke. people whine about wanting change all the time, then when it comes time to actually do something about it, they run right back to the same old bullshit politicians that have fucked everything up in the first place. |

Uhh muckraker, Dr. Paul never denied that these things went out under his name. If he's such a stand-up guy, he could do a better job of owning mistakes commited under what is supposed to be his watch. If he had his own Brownie on the staff, he needs to fess up. Since there are numerous instances of this type of kookery in the newsletter, he'd do better to stamp it out and throw the guilty parties to the wolves. Otherwise he looks like he's more sympathetic to the people who wrote those articles than he is to his ideals-driven platform. |
|
anyways, here's an interesting idea, you want to know what Ron Paul is really about?? Check out his website! Or if you don't want to believe the things on his website are accurate, just look up his record. All of it is public domain. I can guarantee you that nothing you'll find in there will counter anything his website shows. |
