He's on the news now saying he was unfaithful to his wife. Still feels like a non-story to me, except the lengths to which he apparently went to hide his infidelity. That will be especially interesting if his wife knew, and he was just hiding it from the media.

You know, I could care less that Sanford is getting something on the side. But it sounds as though he was out of contact for a week without surrendering authority to his Lt. Governor.

THAT, to me, is dereliction of duty. He was unavailable, but no one else had his authority in case of a state-level emergency.

Oh, I agree, Jen. Sanford was a dumbass on several levels. If he really did just leave for days without telling anyone where he was (and has he done this before?) then it is an open question as to why he is still governor.
