I agree that The Wire is is amazing, especially last season. One film critic, and channeling Rob I can't recall which, voted the last Wire season as the best MOVIE of the year. I am a big Sopranos fan, but last season of the Wire was nonpareil, pardon my French, and deserved some Emmy nominations.

I would put up Chris and Snoop both for a nomination for the best scary character on TV or film ever. And I would also nominate Bubbles for being the most lovable sad sack in the world.

The Wire is clearly the best drama to ever be on television. I'm with you: I have no idea why it is not recognized as such by all. I have talked it up with just about every single person I know, and I can't get a one to watch it, and these are people who watch every other HBO series. What gives?
