actually i just thought of another comparison to what klosterman discusses...i recently became aware that some of my favorite local bloggers actually take "concentration-enhancing pills" so that they can be "extra" prolific. at first, i must admit, i was disappointed. here i thought they were just naturally talented writers....but then on second thought, i realized that it didn't take away from the fact that i still enjoyed their work and still admired what they had to say usually. but frankly, it still seemed slightly cooler to me if they were not all "doped" up. i know it is my own bias.

please note: when i say "local bloggers" here i am not specifically talking about the TtP posse. i love the unfocused approach we have going on here...
