To the People

i guess there is a difference between making a bad joke amongst friends and making a bad joke on cable news.

i once thought it would be an interesting "social experiment" to round up the KKK/nazi skinhead-types and the nation of islam-types and let them go at it...it would only be part of the racial equation, but it allow some of these extremists to let out their anger directly and spare the rest of us their presence. oh silly adolescent dreams...

I didn't realize The Bachelor was still on until last night. I see he's now an officer + gentleman.

Don't get me wrong. I'm entertained by the show. But it makes me feel really dirty and confused inside.

How is the bachelor racist?

Nothing to do with race. I really can't explain it..Perhaps after some more thinking I could; but there is something about the show that "offends" me in a deep way. I say, "offends", because that is term we use. Entertaining, educational in a way, but the concept of 20 some-odd women fighting for this one guy. And going on "group dates" and just everything about it.

I get that it's TV, but the idea of it....

My point (I think) was that in some sort of cultural way, we should be much more offended by what they present on the Bachelor than some off-hand, misogynistic and racist joke from Imus.

But it was just a blog post, and I am currently into preg porn from the 3rd trimester. So who am I to judge?

how about flavor of love? now talk about feeling dirty for watching it and sorry for those on it. including flav, who i think may actually be retarded.
