Chessdad64 here. Well, I have been called a lot worse things than "chicagocentric".
Not all of my entries are entirely chicagocentric although a good deal my blog's readership is from IL and WI and we form a vibrant youth chess community. Take a look at some of my previous entries which look at a number of topics of general interest.
I will be looking to share further thoughts on the SuperNationals at the 64 Square Jungle in the days and weeks to come. I think that was an importand event and showed that it is both the best of times and worst of times for Scholastic/Youth chess in these United States.
I look forward to further coverage from the Boylston Chess Club Blog about SuperNationals and youth chess as it continues to scan the web...
Best chess regards,

Chessdad,
No slight was intended. I was simply trying to communicate that the focus of your post on the SuperNationals was on the performance of Chicago area players. There's nothing wrong with that at all; in fact, since you know these kids, I'm sure you are better able to bring context and color to the story than if you tried to report generically on everything that was happening.
My apologies if my comment came across in some other way. Keep up the good work.

no slight was taken at all. One of the wonderful things about these nationals tournaments (despite some of the logistical and organizational nightmares) are the national connections and friendships being made among the kids and families participating.
