"Up to now, we are both following a single game in my database, Valkesalmi- Computer MChess Pro 5.0, from 1996. I'd better be careful following those computer moves or someone will think I'm cheating!"

Follow Kramnik's lead and go to the bathroom often to really get the accusations of cheating flying.

Gravatar All you have to do is win to be accused of cheating. It's crazy.

Gravatar Matt,

Good thing I lost, then!

Gravatar chess!

Gravatar Clearly, you are sandbagging.

Gravatar I'm a computer cheater and a sandbagger at the same time. I use the computer to find the best losing moves.

Gravatar Nice analysis for our game, Jason. Incidentally, the position after Qxd4 is also partly about the strong position of White's queen. In a way, the strong queen on d4 is like the glue that holds White's position together.

I agree that f6 would have been better. I think the question is whether Black can cause any real immediate problems. If White can get away with Kf1-g1-h2 and Re1 Black will be clearly lost.

Either way, it was an interesting game ... and you should be proud of your first tournament back!
