I think my process is fairly full of piles, notebooks (each new idea wants its own blank notebook) and scraps of stuff. Not to mention lots of coffee rings.
I think I'm somewhat hampered lately by teh doc's order to cut way back on coffee though. Water just doesn't have the same oomph.

Pages, pages, everywhere!
I print, I read, I fix, I fix some more and then I'm to tired to straighten up.
That's not counting laundry, dusting, dishes, washing floors and working the full time job.
A writer's work is never done.

Hi SS,
Your last few posts have me smiling--lots of positive energy!!

Your house sounds like a dream home. If I could allow myself to relax, ours would be similar. But I grew up in a chaotic environment, and I think one of the side-effects of that is that I have to have things neatly placed. Though there is a strong inner longing for what you describe (creative freedom!)

Oh trust me, I'd prefer to have things neatly placed. I was an interior designer so I like aesthetics. But I also love it when kids are playing around and there's a drum beat rattling the rafters and my kid brings me a new painting...and when the writing is going well!
