you know i love it when you talk dirty to me

Funny, just before I read this I made a post on my own blog about how the characters in my WIP are in moral grey areas. No baddies, no goodies, just human beings in extraordinary circumstances.

Keith Allen is an odd sort. He's always played small parts in the past, between making novelty records and such. As far as I know, this is his first major recurring role in a TV series, though he's made a few notable movie appearances, including The Others. Seek out a (very good) movie called Shallow Grave in which his wedding tackle is displayed for all and sundry - it also features a young(er) Ewan McGregor in his first big role, and Christopher Ecclestone (Doctor Who, The Others).

I don't watch much TV, but this rendition of Robin Hood went down a storm over here.

wedding tackle.

I'm going to be giggling over that all night.

Oh, and I assume "went down a storm" means good??

Yeah, is this new new Robin Hood, or old new Robin Hood? Is this DVD-able?

It's only on 9-13 episodes, so I'm guessing maybe the DVD will appear later in the year? The husband hates it cuz no blood is ever drawn (I'd call it PG for themes), and it usually ends on a cheesy note, but there are enough fun moments to make it a must-watch.

I'll look for it.

No blood drawn in the Errol Flynn version either but 24K dialog can carry me pretty damn far:

Sir Guy: You speak treason!
Robin Hood: Fluently.

Coffee kicking in....Accessing memory...Wait, I think that was actually Maid Marian to Robin....Google confirms...ok...back to the novel-writing where brain belongs...

Gravatar Have already seen VTeck used to add an artificial emotional depth and a false resonance to pieces.

Gravatar Last night I watched this weekend's episode and the Sheriff was berating Guy into doing what he wanted him to do, which was betray a friend. (that was sort of a weak plot point because Guy isn't the type of person who has friends). I don't even remember the dialogue, but the Sheriff was standing behind Guy, his hands on his shoulders and chest, caressing him like a lover, cheek to cheek, muttering little evils into his ear. It was just pretty damn potent--Keith Allen looked like he had the other ACTOR sweating, not just the character.

Gravatar Bernita--isn't that sad. I really don't know all that much about the shootings because I couldn't stand to watch the friggin' news afterward.
