I suspect OCD of some sort. It's probably her only way of making sure that they ingredients are mixed "properly", lest one get an improper mix of sodium glucamate and monoxadryl bisulfates.

For a personal example:
An arterial walkway is not a place to mosey or hold impromptu meetings. And glance behind you if you intend to stop walking or change direction! I've no desire for my first known alternate sexual experience to be walking into your ass because you just stopped walking right in front of me.

There is a big company meeting in the largest meeting room at the organization.
When it is over, two guys actually rush for the exit, then, sadly, stop and talk. When they notice a crowd glomming behind them, they exit. THEN... they proceed to lolly-gag down the only arterial walkway, shoulder-to-shoulder, yappin and stalling the crowd spilling out of the meeting room.
NEVER block a crowd exit-point.
I can't begin to comprehend the seemingly prevalent de-evolution of intelligence and observance in some (maybe all!) people.
