Gravatar mmmmm, that mama bomb sounds fab...looks like i'll be spending more $$ cuz of you! my tried and true is plain ole aquaphor. it's fantastic for practically any type of skin issue including mega dry. good luck with your therapy...

Gravatar Hi, I've been reading your blog for some time now and I adore it. I'm actually brazillian and definetely a beauty addict and today I couldn't help but comment your text. I've had a big big problem with my wrist some time ago, had to use a cast several times, and finally I had a surgery and had to use the cast for almost two months. When I was finally free from tthat horrible thing (but still with a scar left), my skin was terrible just like yours. And here is what I did: For massages I prefer oils, they go better than butters, so I used one made with lavender from the swiss brand called Weleda, sometimes that one from Neutrogena I can't recall the name, and from time to time I'd use a lot of pure shea butter from the french L'Occitane or their fabulous moisturizers. Then my skin was fabulous and I had to compensate on the other arm. The coincidence today is that my parents had just left to the doctors with my 87 year old grandma, and , guess what, aparently she broke her wrist aswell. Good luck with your arm, honey, and take care.

Gravatar I love Vaseline WHITE Petroleum Jelly. It comes in a tube, about $4.99.
It is wonderful, not like regular Vaseline.
Thick, penetrates well and not at all greasy. You can use it on your face and body. It is so pure, that I use it after medium strength chemical peels.

Gravatar i'm a product body fan too! love their shea butter and cream in yuzu. my skin is so soft!

Gravatar I own tons of body products but for really , really dry skin I use extra virgin cocunut oil. You can usually get it at the health food store. It smells great and does wonders for your skin.

Gravatar I am soooo glad you did this post. I have been complaining about not being able to find the perfect moisturizer for my skin. My skin is not really dry, but I need something that lasts all day without feeling like I laid in a tub of cooking grease during these 102 degree summer days. I got pure shea butter from a flea market, and mixed it with a coconut perfume oil...feels, and smeels great, but i can only use it at nite because its really heavy.

Gravatar I've been meaning to try Mama Bomb, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I love the Whipped Shea from Product Body though -- extremely moisturizing and rich! I use it on my feet in the summer -- sandals and flipflops are very drying.

Gravatar Eucerin - the heavy duty stuff for dry skin. It's way thick, but works like a charm and is quite inexpensive.

Gravatar You should try something that helps break down & slough off all those dead skin cells. My personal fave: Lac-Hydrin lotion (an old standby/dermatologist recommendation). I jotted down the details in a recent post on my blog, The Unrepentant Princess!

Gravatar SO MUCH GREAT ADVICE! My home page has been wrong. If anyone tried to click, I just updated it

Gravatar Mmm can't get hold of all that here in Europe... but I found natural REN products work great for my überdifficult skin. I love the Rose Body Cream. I noticed that rubbing RéVive Sensitif Cellular cream on dry and irritated body parts also works great, though it's a really expensive option. Coming to NYC really soon, so I just have to try the Product Body stuff - great tip!

Gravatar Cheap and Cheerful...Jergens "Age Defying" has a nice smell and texture. Keeps me silky soft. Drugstore brands with some time of retinol or alpha hydroxy do a good job.

Gravatar EVOO!! (extra virgin olive oil)

Gravatar Try the salt scrub from Arbonne. It works miracles on flakey or rosacea skin!! I love it. Smells amazing too!

Gravatar You didn't even tell me you wrote this. I love how you love us!! I wrote a little post for you at my blog....your picture is lovely!

Gravatar I once had a cast on my arm for two months (when it came off I could peel strips of skin from my elbow to my wrist-EWW!) and I used a scrub to help get rid of the extra skin. Just don't use a salt scrub because the skin underneath may be raw!

Gravatar I like to alternate light exfoliation with heavy moisture at night. For day, I use Jergens smoothing body lotion. It has enough AHA to slough off dead skin cells, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling tender or irritated. At night, I use baby oil gel. It's cheap and really sinks into dry skin on my knees and elbows.

Gravatar you guys are the best. i've got so many advice from all of you, thanx alot girls and thanx for writting this blog.

Gravatar Shea Butter is incredibly healing for the skin. The unrefined Shea (careful for overprocessed Shea) is used in burn trauma centers to help regenerate skin.

It's fantastic stuff.

I'm happy to see it on here.
It is thick, but sinks in quickly.

Best

Gravatar I am a product body junkie!!! i love all her stuff, and i have to agree that mama bomb is a miracle worker. But I have not tried the other products mentioned, and I will be soon, and then of course talk about them in my blog! I love your posts and I am glad to hear you are doing better....

P.S. Mama bomb works great on scars, I have had 2 surgeries and both my scars are almost unnoticeable!
