Sadly, I was struck by "limited edition fever" as well; however, not for the Chanel nail polish. For whatever reason, I HAD TO HAVE the Too Faced Diamond Edition palette. All of the colors were pretty, and it seemed so convenient. I have a huge obsession for anything sample/travel sized. But of course - it was only available at Sephora, and it sold out fairly quickly. So, I took to E-bay and found one. It was one of the only ones available in the States. I ended up paying about $17 over the retail price for the item, and when it finally arrived in the mail, I was more than a little disappointed. I thought the palette would be much larger, but to give you an idea of the scale, the eyeshadows are about as big around as a dime. I love the colors, and it is convenient for travel (though it is a bit on the bulky, awkward side) but I expected more for the $57 I ended up paying for the exclusive, limited edition item. I'll think twice next time!
I bought one and I'm wearing it right now. I think it's amazing and it's basically black satin as far as I'm concerned. I think it's interesting how the chanel counter ladies kept telling me how it was going to sell out any minute. I called Macy's again and they still had a few left. So maybe the rush isn't that great?
But I've 100% gotten limited edition fever. I really want the next lancome prozena pink lipstick.

I am wearing it now and love it! It really isn't goth at all...I will try your topcoat - I'm sure any chips will be really noticable.

I am using a dupe, Cover Girl Boundless in Midnight Magic is close. The formula is kinda thin, but I'm not anywhere close to a Chanel counter this time of year.

Everything I have ever gotten from Chanel is fabulous. Santa did bring me a love bottle of Limited Edition No. 5 Body lotion in an exceptionally luxurious 250 ml glass bottle. But to be perfectly honest I prefer the plastic ones that the normal 200ml size are sold in, I fear I will be all greased up and drop the glass one....but hey its limited right??? I bet I can find the nail polish in Kentucky at the Chanel counters, I must look but not certain if it is something I will get alot of use out of...do you wear this during the work week?????
I love limited editions and own several (Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Lancome and others). But, I won't overpay on eBay (let's face it, by the time one is sold out, the next one is already being announced). I didn't buy into the black polish craze. Not sure why, but it's just not my thing. I went for the Essies: Wicked, Double Dip and a few other ultra dark ones. But now I'm ready for something totally new. What's the next color craze?
I just received my Noir Ceramic in the mail from Nordies. It looks pretty in the bottle, I can't wait to try it out. I miraculously purchaed Black Satin off of ebay for $15 a few months ago. I guess its called Friday night luck ( no one is on then..). Any who. I'm loving how Chanel's limited editions are the same looks that are presented in the fashion shows.
This is just one step closer to silver that will be really hot this Spring. I hear Sephora is running a silver polish ad soon and Chanel used Silver as their polish on the Spring runway, so its only a matter of time!
I am SO JEALOUS. Sadly, I have to go with the Essie Black...not NEARLY as chic as LIMITED EDITION Chanel.
I live in a "cozy little resort-ish area" yet our Macys is a low-end store (read: no designer stuff & no Chanel)
Have you tried the OPI Lincoln Park after Dark???? It's an almost black plum color. I love it!
I was able to snag one too...surprisingly just walked right up to the Nordstrom counter, and there happened to be 2 left. Haven't tried it out yet...I'm hoping that you can differentiate between this one and black satin - Beauty Addict, when you get your nails done, post a photo!
Yes, I want to see photos of nails with this color. I understand short is back with a vengance...which is good because that is all I will ever have...
I have the noir ceramic on my finger nails and the white one that came in the same collection on my toes...... if that opal/white color is limited edition i suggest everyone go buy it now!!! it is absolutely gorgeous...it have a pink hint to it

Silver will be "the new black" this spring.
I was trying not to care about this nailpolish at first, but I ended up trying to track it down and managed to snag the last bottle probably in my area. It's being held for me, I'm dying to go pick it up!
I have "limited edition fever," and have not been able to score Noir Ceramic anywhere! However, I have Black Satin, and it's close enough. I've heard that Chanel will come out with a purple version. Can you confirm?
I am such a sucker for anything that comes in Limited Edition. Lucky you! You have the Noir Ceramic! Was only able to get hold of the Black Satin but totally loving it! Other colors now seem to pale in comparison! I can't wait for the silver polish for Spring!
