Gravatar I've tried it - both the Hindu lipstick and the Belly Dance shadow duo and have to say that I disagree with you, however, it may be because of our differences in skin color. On my lips, Hindu is a lovely berry color - great for fall. And brightness of the Belly Dance duo colors are awesome for my brown skin - they really "pop" on me and actually look like they do in the case, which is rare. I like them both!

Gravatar Hey Toya - I thought of you when I saw that Belly Dance eyeshadow because I remember you saying you were buying it! It definitely seems like it would look good on you for the exact reason you mentioned and the one I suspected in my post - that great "pop" of color against your skin. On me that green was like the Wicked Witch of the West, LOL!

I was so disappointed in Hindu because I really loved it in the tube. So glad this one works for you!

Gravatar I love the Walkyrie Velvet Matte. It's a good "better than nude" shade for me though I was utterly underwhelmed with it in the tube. It suits my coloring (Asian, medium-ish skin tone with rosy cheeks) so much better than the other (three) Velvet Mattes I have that I adored in the tube (pencil?) and hated on my lips.

I like the Rose Birman a lot, it seems dark but gives my lips a lovely berry-ish blush. Stella is usually my go to color in Nars lipgloss, but Rose Birman may overtake it.

Gravatar Cha - Glad to hear the Walkyrie works for you! The Rose Birman is growing on me, I think. I tried it again today and now I'm starting to like it...in fact, I think I might move it up to the "Hits" section, LOL.

Gravatar I've been using it for about a week now and I must say I really love the Albatross highlighter as well. I was afraid it was going to make me look white and pasty (dare I say, alien?) but it has just enough yellow/gold in it to look natural. Only thing is, I'm deathly afraid that the lanolin in the ingredients will make me break out. Any problems with it so far, Kristen?

Gravatar Isabel - I only tested it in the store, but didn't have any reactions. Does lanolin usually bother your skin? I guess the only thing to do is wait and see...and cross your fingers! Keep us posted!

Gravatar I really commend you for your honest evaluation of these products. So often the beauty blogs just give positive, glowing evaluations of the new products. It's more valuable to read a blog that does have some honest balance. Keep up the great work!

Gravatar The greatest of this collection is really the Bettina Lipstick!

I really liked your comments on these products!

Gravatar Wow, Kristen - I would LOVE to try this stuff because I bet it would look beautiful on caramel-colored ladies like myself. The gold that is too much on you, would probably be gorgeous on olive-skinned or black women. And I am confident that the Belly Dancer shadows would look amazing on me! But alas, I will just have to try these at my local Bath & Body Works before I buy them. Thanks for posting!

Gravatar Hey Afrobella! I bet the Belly Dance would look great on you - read Toya's comment above; she loves it. As for the Moon Fleet...my problem is that the glitter in it is chunkier than in most of the other NARS glosses. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Gravatar OMG Kristen, I TOTALLY agree with you. I took one look at the Hindu and was like "wait...this doesn't look like the picture...this looks like a lipstick I have at home I'm trying to get rid of." You did better than me, as the entire collection was a bummer as far as I was concerned.

Gravatar "This might give a great pop of color to darker skin tones, but on anyone else, I can't see it being very wearable."

I was just going to suggest that this might have been why they didn't work for you. I'm going to see if I can run to sephora and see how it translates on my skin tone. Because w/ the name...Hindu, Bellydance...it almosts suggests darker.
