I smelled the Guerlain Herba Fresca perfume and loved it, but have been waffling because I worried it would be too "grassy" for a sexy, date-night perfume. Maybe that's another perfume that works with the dudes even though you wouldn't think it would...
Okay, this is the very next one I buy in that case! 
The other day I was sitting on a subway platform bench and I swear the woman next to me must have been wearing this -- it smelled just like Marc Jacobs perfume which I used to wear, with a cucumber/grassy note to it. So delicious! I almost asked her if it was MJ Cucumber Splash but didn't... I'll have to look into it.

I sampled that fragrance on my last trip in Sephora, and it is a fantastic smell. Sexy doesnt always have to be a heavy, musky smell, NY's finest help prove that!!!
Well, I just dragged my husband to the mall. I usually come back and have him comment on whatever perfume I have sprayed on. In the past year nothng has struck his fancy. Today I found him reading in the chair at Nordstroms and asked him how he liked the Cucumber. He really liked it! So I bought it. Kristin, I told him you said "men prefer vegetables " and he said "men are vegetables". I'll check out other responses when I'm back to work in NYC on Friday

I have a Demeter Cucumber scented fragrance, but when that runs out I'm trying this one.
Coincidence! I read this about an an hour after I got back from Sephora where I sampled none other than the Marc Jacobs Cucumber Splash for the first time. It's nice but very light- I think the scent has already completely faded.
There's a Bay Area store called Body Time that does custom scenting of a whole bunch of products, and they have a cucumber scent that's been one of my favorite for years -- they have a great cucumber glycerin soap, as well. So perfect for summer.

That is hilarious...I guess cucumber must smell very clean and fresh, but I can't believe that it manipulates mens' hormone levels. That's just weird...I think everyone who reads this post will be buying that perfume and doing a little scent experimentation of their own...
Interesting - I have always loved the scent - and bought this months ago.
I do remember reading about a study in ELLE magazine however that men preferred the smell of cinnamon buns and that women preferred the cuke scent. I have to start wearing this in public - I used as an at home refresher more than anything.
when my boyfriend and i first started dating, he stole a miniature bottle of b&bw cucumber melon lotion from me. he didn't really put it on, he's just sniff it. WEIRD.

I used to wear kiehl's cucmber all the time, somtimes layering with kiehl's musk. I always got tons of compliments - more than for any other fragrance.
Sounds great, I always love the scent of the cucumber handwash and lotion.... can't wait to get a sample of this to try out.
I am SO excited to try this! There is nothing better than cucumbers - to smell or eat!
FYI - it is already sold out on Sephora.com and even Amazon.com... but Nordstroms.com at least had it. Thats where I ordered it anyways.

I surprisingly don't really like this smell. It's kind of unfortunate, but I'm not the biggest fan of cucumbers and this smells exactly like a fresh cucumber.
I actually love cucumber-scented stuff. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I'm tired of my vanilla- and honeysuckle-scented perfumes and need something different.

indeed! i smelled this at sephora and almost died it was so awesome....
I just tried this on earlier today and after it settled down I found that it smelled just like my natural scent, but of course way more amplified. Maybe that's why it's so popular w/ the guys. I guess men like natural after all.
I went to bath and body works recently and they are about to launch a new Freshwater Cucumber scent its really ncie like their cucumber melon scent!
i was so inspired by this post that i went straight to Tangs in Singapore to get my hands on this. i went with my boy to get his opinion too. we tried all the MJ scents, and was told by the SA that rain and grass were the most popular (in singapore at least). initially, cucumber smelt v v strongly of alcohol and my guy was leaning v strongly towards grass! and i actually bought that. but after we had left and were in the subway station, i let him smell both wrists again (one cucumber, one grass) and we both decided that once cucumber had 'settled down' a bit, it was a v v nice scent. so i went back to change it! :D loving it now...
