Gravatar as much as i love shu products, this one i always take a pass on, even tho shu created this oil cleansing system.

i use the DHC deep cleansing oil, which i'm pretty sure is almost the exact same thing, sans the different formulations shu offers and it's $28 - $31 (they recently raised their prices, i think) for 6.7 oz. the only reason i'd buy shu's is for the lovely packaging they offer. it's like art in a bottle. every so often they do their special editions with some artist who designs a series.

Gravatar really? cleansing with oil? What if you have oily skin- will it make you break out?

Gravatar I also tried DHC's deep cleansing oil and liked it-- left my face feeling clean and really soft but not greasy, and I have combination skin. Also a plus for taking off eye makeup at the same time. I only used it at night because you have to start with a dry face and dry hands.

Gravatar i love the shu cleansing oil--it is the only thing that truly takes off all my waterproof makeup perfectly. i buy the value size now =)

i also have oily skin but as long as you wash your face thoroughly after using the oil, your skin will feel soft and clean, not greasy.

Gravatar Good collections of beauty products.

Gravatar sounds interesting... but what about moisterising afterwards? not necessary or good for some extra skin-pampering?

Gravatar For some reason cleaning oils are very underrated, we use them at our salon too, and all of our clients seem to love it...

Gravatar I first balked at the idea of using oil to cleanse my (oily) face but have found it's the best thing ever. When mixed with water, it actually kind of foams up a bit, so for those who need a bit of "lather action", you still get your fix.
I'm in love with Dermalogica's Precleanse.

Gravatar I've heard that in chemistry oil attracts oil so therefore you are whisking away the oil on your face when you rinse this off. I have never used Shu's though.

Gravatar I use the MAC Cleanse Off Oil, absolutely love it. Never tried the Shu stuff, here in England you can only get it in massive (and expensive) bottles...

Gravatar Luv love love this stuff!!! The smell is divine, and the results are great. I ususally have terrible times with cleansers leaving my skin dry and tight as soon as my skin dries (and since I have a toddler, I never complete my whole skin routine in one sitting). This product does not cause the drying or any other negative effects, my skin feels completely clean and not the least bit oily afterwards. Also, I bought the small $12 bottle at Sephora, and I think it will last a long time because it takes so little product in each use. Definately something everyone should try.

Gravatar After rubbing your face with dry hands, try wetting your hands to make the lather just a teensy bit wet, then rinse off the oil. It gets much cleaner that way!

Gravatar Kristen,

Although I truly love this product and continue to use it (nothing else takes off eye makeup as good as this product, nothing!), I have always felt uneasy knowing that one of the main ingredients in the formula is mineral oil. How do you feel about mineral oil?

Gravatar This product is a hero for taking off waterproof makeup. Using oil is extraordinary but is useful to many

Thank You.

Gravatar I haven't tried this product but I got to try a new facial cleanser from MISSION Skincare. It is applied as a gel and in 90 seconds turns to foam - I didn't need to use water or anything!!! The product took off all my makeup, cleaned my face and left it feeling as if I had just gotten a facial! It is called the Active Daily Facial Cleanser from MISSION Skincare and its featuring Serena Williams!!!!! I definitely suggest you guys test out this too because it is unlike any product I've ever used!! I also found a contest where you can meet Serena (SOOOO cool since she just won Wimbledon!) www.SerenasMISSION.com!!

Gravatar LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

Gravatar I swear by this stuff. I use the pink bottle.

Gravatar I don't use this product, but I've been cleaning my face with castor and olive oils, and it cleared my super acne prone skin right up. It's a myth that oil is bad for oily skin.

Gravatar I have never tried this product but I use a the rice bran cleansing oil from Spa Siam and it does wonders for my complexion. You can find it at www.spasiamusa.com

Gravatar I have heard clients talk about this before when I was cutting their hair. I guess it really works. I will have to try it, too!

Gravatar I have been checking out the reviews on Shu Uemura's cleansing oil for some time , but due to budget constraints, I decided to bid a sample online to try it on instead of investing on an expensive big bottle.

My skin is consider oily with some adult acnes that looks like redden spots every now and then, blackheads and pores. Have been using the cleansing oil since 27 Aug 09. The first week of using, I felt a let down - I didnt seem to notice any difference. But I continue to use as usual and as of today 12 Sept 09, I found the acnes are not as red - they seem to have subsided, the pores are wee bit smaller, blackheads lesser and what is more amazing is my skin is so much more smoother , it feels as if I have just had a mask.

Please note, I massage my face with the oil for a few minutes twice daily, and also do a double cleansing at night. Hopefully this comment helps.

Gravatar Thanks for the information, ill have to give this a shot

Gravatar Great stuff, I have to say I prefer emu or tea tree oil
