Oh man, as soon as those lovely gel pens came out mid-90s I went a little crazy. They were great because they stayed put but washed off easily without staining the plastic. I especially liked to change the eyeshadow on my Megara doll from Disney's "Hercules" because her eyelid crease was defined so that I could easily drag the pen along her lash line in one line and it looked perfect. I think my favorite look was pink on the outside half and gold on the inside half and blended in the middle. Sick, right?

This stuff sounds awesome, I can't wait to give it a try. I absolutely despise liquid liner, but I love the look it gives... and yes, I would love nothing more than to relive my doll-makeover days.

This sounds wonderful! I'll definitely have to give it a try, and if I like it, I'll have to add it to the post I'm getting ready to write about "drugstore beauty!"

OMG! I totally put "make-up" on my doll's faces with markers when I was little! I found my old Barbies in a box when I was moving recently and they all looked like streetwalkers! Thankfully, I don't do my own make up that heavy...but I am curious about this marker type eyeliner. Must try it out, but with a lighter hand that I did with old Barbie.

I just bought one today . It went on well even though I already had mascara on. So I will see how it works before applying mascara. I bought an Almay one last week and I like this one better. They're all a big improvement from the 70's when it took me forever to apply liquid eyeliner so meticulously.

I spent so much time playing make-over with my barbies and gel pens! It's so weird to me that others did that too :P

I can't do liquid eyeliner, but have been using Bobbi Brown's long-wear gel eyeliner. It still takes some practice, since I like a thin line, but am willing to try this felt tip liner and hope that you can create a thin line without smudging. Worth a shot!

No need to worry about TSA, they are truly only concerned with liquids.

also, there's a korean brand called etude that has a liquid eyeliner that didn't budge on my eyes at all. i'm just lazy in driving to the korean store to get it regularly. you could try that one too.

I used to have that same smudging problem until I started using Benefit's She-Laq. This stuff will not budge unless taken off with an oil-based remover. You can use it over your eyeliner, lipstick, etc. Give it a try.

i'm asian, and i've been using lancome artliner for years now. the cheaper version of it will be loreal ones. they're almost exactly the same minus the color variety. nowadays, i use lancome and add shuuemura pencil liner along the lash line, which makes my eyes look a lot bigger.
one that will never smudge is guerlain divinora liner, but i don't like the texture of it. i find gel liners (i have bobbi one) pretty hard to use, but it could be because i only used it a few times compare to years of practice with lancome.
i used to only use liquid liner because pencil liners smudged really bad on my eyes, but i've recently learned to incorporate that smudging effect into my looks and occasionally use pencil liners. with the right application of shadows, i think it can be done
anyways, i want to give this a try and see if i like it!

Could you have given me a reason to give up smoking out my eyes instead of just licking a brush and dipping into a black, black eye shadow?
Maybe.

Definitely bought this. It's not AMAZING and actually sometimes works like a real felt tip pen in that it gets dry! doesn't smudge or anything though, and almost does a kind of smoky thing. it's good. end of story.

Wow, this sounds great for the liquid-liner challenged among us, such as myself. Great for a special evening out, I should think. Thanks for finding this!

It's okay. Definitely worth the money if you want to practice your liquid eyelining skills, but it smudges and comes off way too easy. Also feels dry sometimes but you just have to shake it or smush the tip and more ink will come out. Wouldn't buy again.

I bought it twice because I thought the first one was a fluke... but both times it dried out way to quickly. I even tried storing it with the tip down. Any tricks to making it last? I only got 5 uses TOPS.
