Could this be true that I am the first to comment? Holy Crap! (I said that for Lianne)
I prefer the first version simply because it looks more Spring. Not sure that I would want to be wearing deep grape lips because that reminds me of this girl Misty from high school who was a "Goth."
I am in absolute love with Nars The Multiple in Orgasm. Love love love it!
I'm coming to NYC 1/31-2/3 I hope to see you again!

that Revolt lipgloss is absolutely GORGEOUS! i have it and it is one of my top 3 favorite glosses ever. it looks really dark, but it's translucent on your lips and gives them the most gorgeous, darker berry tinged bitten look! i know that sounds silly but it's the best way to describe what it looks like on. no frostbite lips either. and it tones down the natural rosiness of my lips AND makes my teeth look whiter, too. it is awesome!!!

Perhaps you already know, but I got that habanera shadow combo in the fall at Saks. I like it, but it isn't really a staple. A little of the blue/green color goes a long way and I tend to wear just a little touch of it right above my upper last line (in the middle) cause it brings the blue out in my eyes.

That is quite odd.
The lipstick used for the Lydia Hearst image is Captiva and that's an oldie isn't it.

I have not been impressed with Nars at all recently, and that should worry all of you, as the bulk of my makeup collection is Nars. I have Habanera, and I love it, but beyond that, nothing really stands out to me that I have to have. I bought the Holiday Palette b/c I thought the colors looked cool, tried it, hated it, and gave it to my nanny. Terrible!

I've been wanting the Lipgloss in Dolce Vita. I asked at my Sephora this fall and was told that it was only availabe in a palette with 2 shadows that I didn't like. I'm glad to see that they released it alone but was I lied to? I didn't see it at my Sephora.

See, you know the Pampered Mama is truly pampered when she gives away NARS palettes to her nanny, LOL!
Jillyb - I think it had only been available in the set, but it came with 2 blushes (one pale highlighting blush, and one in bronze rose). I hope Sephora didn't try to sell those to you as shadows, they definitely function far better as cheek colors!

Oh man, I was super confused when I went to the NARS site and the collection didn't match the photo AT ALL, but I didn't think to check Sephora...
I have hopes for Manhunt, I'm in need of a punchy red.

Kristen- You're right, it was blushes. I forgot. I liked the highlighter but the other shade was too dark for me. Thanks.

I wonder if the name Shanghai Lily comes from Rod Stewart or the movie Shanghai Express (with Marlene Dietrich)? The Manhunt looks gorgeous.

Jillyb - Well, no worries now that you can buy it on its own, right?
Susanna - Oh, I'm definitely thinking the Dietrich film, especially considering the way Lydia Hearst is made up in that photo. I just couldn't resist using the Rod Stewart lyric, LOL...

I seem to be alone here, but I think the second collection is lovely, and certinly much more interesting than the first. That Manhunt lipstick does look lovely, however. I think the colors in the Sephora collection won't look "goth-y" as long you don't wear then as in the photo.
